The Celtics are 15 games into their season and I wanted to take some time to go over how everyone on the team has fared thus far.

Kevin Garnett: The most important thing coming into this season was the health of Kevin Garnett.  The Celtics are a different team especially on defense when Garnett is on the court.  So far he has looked like he will be ready to go all season.  As always KG is the key to the defense and he has been doing a good job on the boards.  Doc is doing a good job limiting his minutes so that he doesn't wear him out.

Paul Pierce: Pierce is the unquestioned leader of the team and he provides so much to the Celtics on the offensive end.  Pierce has looked more explosive this year and he continues to get his fare share of rebounds and assists.

Ray Allen: Ray Allen has been taking the ball to the hoop a lot more this season which limits the amount of three pointers that he is taking.  He is still averaging 15 points a game as Doc is trying to limit his minutes so that his legs will be fresh for the playoff run.

Rajon Rondo: It may be the big three but I really believe that as Rondo goes the Celtics go.  Rondo is so important getting the offense in rhythm and creating for the other 4 players on the court.  He also leads the league in steals and is averaging close to 9 assists a game.  When Rondo struggles the Celtics struggle so it will be important for him to keep his game at a high level at all times.

Kendrick Perkins: Because of the big three and Rondo, Perk gets overlooked a lot on this Celtics team.  Perk is very important to the Celtics as he is their best shot blocker.  He is also doing a great job converting on his opportunities inside and getting in good position to rebound. As long as he stays out of foul trouble he will be huge the rest of the way.

Marquis Daniels: Being a huge NBA fan I was familiar with Marquis Daniels and what he did prior to signing with the Celtics.  I really liked the signing and he has done nothing to disappoint.  He is a versatile part of the bench being able to handle the ball and post up on smaller guards.  He has great court vision for a guy his size and is a gritty defender.  He has was big pickup for this club.

Rasheed Wallace: Wallace got off to the hot start with his three point range and has hit a little bit of a funk as of late, but he is still a key contributer off the bench.  His ability to stretch the court and post up makes him hard to guard especially for the bigs of other teams.  It's only a matter of time before he starts hitting those shot again and when that happens look out.

Eddie House: Eddie House has done all of the things that Celtics fans have come to expect from them over the last two years.  He is always a threat to hit the three pointer and when he gets going it is very tough to stop.

Sheldon Williams: Sheldon has done better than anyone could have expected filling in for Big Baby.  He had high expectation coming out of Duke a few years ago and never really lived up to them or had a chance to prove himself.  He has done a great job rebounding and when he gets the opportunity to score he usually doesn't waste it.

Brian Scalabrine: Scal is a fan favorite and he really hasn't had much time on the court this season.  He always does the little things that help the team win and when he gets the opportunity he does a great job.

JR Giddens: Giddens has seen some minutes this season which is an improvement from last season when he didn't get on the court much.  He is as athletic as anyone on the team and I really believe he can contribute to this team if given the opportunity.  Minutes are tough to come buy with Pierce, Allen, Daniels and Rondo getting most of the minutes at guard.  His offensive game needs a lot of work but he can play defense and his energy is a key reason he gets into games.

Lester Hudson: In the minutes he has played Hudson has proven that he belongs on this roster.  I think some time up in Portland in the development league will serve him well.  Giddens benefited from some time in the D-League last year and Hudson would get valuable minutes.

Bill Walker was injured for most of the season and only got into 1 game and is now up in Portland preparing for the start of that season.  Tony Allen is set to return on Sunday and it will be interesting to see if he can get any minutes.  He is always a valuable defensive player and has the explosiveness that gets the crowd into it.

The Celtics will be right there at the end of the season like we expected.  The defense has struggled at times but once they get that figured out they will go back to being one of the most feared defenses in the league.
