The 2nd Annual David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic
concluded yesterday with ?the Mayor? MLB Network commentator Sean Casey taking first place followed by Hall of Famer Jim
Rice?s squad, new Phillies third sacker
MLB Network commentator Sean Casey
in third and Andres Gal?rraga in
fourth place.
The Classic will benefit the David Ortiz Children?s Fund,
committed to helping children in New England and the Dominican Republic get
access to critical pediatric services. The DOCF partners with Massachusetts
General Hospital in New England and with Heart Care Dominicana and
International Hospital in the Dominican Republic.
Other participants and attendees included Red Sox teammates Clay
Buchholz, Jason Varitek, Mike Lowell, Jacoby Ellsbury, Jon Lester, Daniel Bard, and Tim Wakefield, Clay Buchholz, Larry Lucchino and Terry Francona; other major leaguers Alex Rodriguez, Mariano
Rivera, Carlos Pe?a, Jimmy Rollins, Pedro
Martinez, Robinson Cano, Vladimir Guerrero, Torii Hunter, Ryan Howard, Ubaldo
Jimenez, and Placido Polanco; Red Sox Manager Terry Francona, Houston Astros manager Brad Mills, actors Jeffrey Donovan, Rachel Dratch, Sam Page, singer Joanna

The annual event was held at the spectacular Cap Cana in the
Dominican Republic.
