Lane Kiffin slithered out of Tennessee last night.  On the way out, he only gave a brief statement and didn’t answer any questions.  At age 34, Kiffin has been given an NFL coaching job and two of the top college coaching positions in America.  What has Kiffin done to deserve this?  I think having the last name Kiffin doesn’t hurt.

I have no clue what USC is doing hiring this guy.  He has already gotten Tennessee under investigation.  Now he is heading into a burning NCAA inferno with USC.  This hire reeks of desperation.  In my option, this is just the start of the downward trend that the program is most definitely headed. 

Kiffin has been given everything and done absolutely nothing with all of these gifts that have been handed over to him.  It is going to be a tough road for USC, and Kiffin isn’t the answer.  I believe it is going to be longer than a great deal of people expect for USC to regain the dominance the program enjoyed this decade.
