Coming back from an injury like that will take time. Also, Jerod Mayo is a big piece of the puzzle and he went down already! It hurts to say but without Bruschi, Seymour, Harrison, etc. this team is too young for a SuperBowl. Once they gel though...LOOK OUT in 2010!

Trust me, I was watching it to, and what I saw was a very gritty New England team digging out a "W" with what, 1:19 left to play? Of course Brady is going to start slow on that knee, but I don't think it will take him an entire year to get his confidence back. Remember who else started slowly last season? Matt Cassel. I know it's not a post-injury return but in terms of confidence and being out of the game, I was there when that guy got booed by Pats fans during the Miami game. And then we all watched him bring in those 400+ yard games.

Part of being able to do that as a quarterback is having a strong support system and a coach like Bill Belichick. If Bill could get last year's team to 11-5 without Brady, I bet he can do it again--only this time they'll see the playoffs.
Mary Paoletti wins the slugfest!
